The NAS 4100 Disk Online Server is the first industry standard
19" 1U rackmount Network Attached Storage (NAS) unit to
incorporate Gigabit Ethernet technology. It comes with an Intel
Celeron CPU and 256MB of SDRAM to serve the growing demand for
high performance and mission critical storage within the business
environment.
The NAS 4100 offers Hot Swappable HDD's and additional data
protection VIA RAID levels 0, 1 and 5. It also allows cross
platform support of Microsoft Networks (CIFS/SMB), Apple (AFP),
Unix (NFS), Novell Netware, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and
Internet Web Browser to ensure file accessibility at both local
and remote levels. The on board Ultra SCSI expansion port allows
the connection of an additional SCSI device such as tape backup
for extra data protection.
